Developing Local Links

At Linton Support we hope that all service users will become integrated within the local community to the best of their ability.

All individuals are offered a range of developmental, educational and vocational programmes to develop and maintain skills and competencies in a range of activities including horticulture, swimming, arts and craft, communication and social skills.

Services are organised so that they meet people’s needs, therefore should a particular activity be requested or thought to be beneficial to an individual we will customise the service to include this activity.

Currently services users engage with Mencap, Special Olympics, Social Clubs and local charities. We also take part in accredited training through Learn Devon based at the Bideford Arts Centre and regularly attend Torrington Pool and Mullacott Riding stables.

Linton Support is always open to new activity ideas and willing to support other local groups where possible. On-site a variety of activities include art and craft, cooking and accessing the local allotment plot. Regular themes help co-ordinate what is planned and provide a good purpose for activities that individuals undertake.

Our allotment plot provides a quiet and calm area that is within a five minute walk of Orion House and individuals are able to undertake a variety of different activities tailored to their own needs and it is also a place where they can sit back, relax and enjoy the fantastic views of Bideford Estuary.
